Democracy Advocates of Riverland-Tradition
Our Story
DART is one, small, grassroots community group, among thousands across America, all pulling together to lawfully restore democracy, justice and decency.

July 27, 2024. A small group of Democratic and Independent neighbors met to discuss our nation's future. We shared a common concern for preserving and enhancing the America envisioned by the founders, ensuring fair opportunities for everyone, not just those with wealth and power.
That first gathering led to….
August 2024. Rally for Kamala. Over 220 Port St. Lucie residents attended.
October 2024. Fundraiser for Thomas Witkop, Candidate for U.S. Representative for Florida District 21
April 2025. We officially adopted the name Riverland Area Democrats (RAD) at a "soft launch" Wine Tasting event at Total Wine,
May 2025. RAD Facebook page launched.
Our expanding group gathers monthly to enjoy each other's company, share food, ideas and information. This is one way we build community.
Labor Day Weekend, 2025. Neighborhood-wide call to, “Take Back the Flag,”
October & November 2025. Workshops on, “How Can I Save Our Democracy?”
November 2025. Sunday Matinee, showing of "Bringing Down a Dictator," followed by discussion.
--RAD members attend Rallies, Democratic Club meetings, and civic meetings.
--RAD hosts Social, Educational & Political Action and Get Out the Vote events.
--March 2026. Meet the Candidate evening, introducing Pia Dandiya, Candidate for Congress, FL-21.
--May 2026. Meet the Candidate evening, introducing James Marton, Candidate for Congress, FL-21.
--May 2026. We adopted our current name, Democracy Advocates of Riverland-Tradition (DART), to encompass our entire community within zip code 34987.
Our determination to ensure that our government returns to the rules of law and decency is unwavering. We denounce misleading, divisive, unlawful, violent and divisive rhetoric or actions of any kind, from any quarter.
DART is committed to help elect excellent candidates to all offices in the November 2026 Midterms, and beyond.
